About

I wanted to take this time to thank you all for your continued support of Slumbering Hound. As a small business and having a young family, I will be taking a short break to spend some time with my family and update my website.

I want you to know that I really appreciate that you buy from and support a small business like mine and any orders placed between 16th July and 5th August 2019 will be handmade with my usual love and care and shipped to you from 8th August 2019.

I will still be available to answers any questions or queries you may have, it just may take slightly longer than usual. I’ll be posting the odd holiday photo of Aston enjoying his holiday, so follow over on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and I look forward to seeing photos of your dogs on your holidays too.

Have a wonderful Summer

Dee and Aston x

I hand make beautiful, bespoke and personalised dog cushions, blankets and accessories for your house and your hound. The fabrics are all carefully chosen to compliment any interior and I am passionate about having cushions and accessories that you are proud to display in your home, that are cosy and comfortable for your dogs and that can be personalised to your requirements.

My inspiration is Aston, my Greyhound, adopted from  Kent Greyhound Rescue . He is now chief tester of all of my new products and spends most of his time dreaming whilst slumbering on his own custom made cushion.

If there is something you would like made that you don't see here, please don't hesitate to get in touch. All items are made to order and I can accommodate most requests. Please contact Dee at slumberinghound@gmail.com.

Slumbering Hound regularly donates a percentage of profits to charity and all of my products are handmade, by me, in the UK.

Why

Slumbering Hound

“Looking around for blankets for our dog Aston, I noted that there was a huge choice on the market, varying considerably in price and quality. I decided to make my own for him and was inspired to make a small collection to raise funds for the charity The Grassroots Trust.  I received some great feedback and was approached to be part of a pop-up shop on my local high street. The venture was a great success and it was then that I realised Slumbering Hound had been born”.
